This is going to be a relief to iPhone users who have exhausted all 9 pages on their iPhone. Currently iPhone doesn’t allow users to add more than 9 pages of apps on their springboard, i.e., max 144 apps. This feature was shared by TheLoopBlog. Therefore with 3.0 OS coming this June, we will have 11pages on our iPhone springboard and that will allow 180 apps to be installed. DAMN COOL :)

If you are one of those iPhone followers who end up opening over 5-7 websites every morning to get a complete update on iPhone news and rumors, there seems to be a solution for this problem. I found this Aggregator website called iPhoneTabloid.com, which pulls up RSS feeds from websites like iPhone Dev Team, ModMyi, AppleInsider, Engadget, Gizmodo and many more top iPhone websites all in one page.

iphone nextgen Next Gen iPhone to be Showcased on June 8: RumorOne is thing is sure, Apple will be unveiling Next-Gen iPhone very soon with tons of new features. Silicon Alley has shared some more info on this very news. The Next-Gen iPhone along with the final version of its iPhone 3.0 software might most probably be announced on June 8, the first day of Apple’s 2009 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

More important: Will Apple CEO Steve Jobs present — or at least make an appearance — at WWDC? His medical leave is not scheduled to end until “late June,” so maybe not. But we wouldn’t be surprised if Steve made a cameo, either to show off the new iPhone or to announce that he was retiring as CEO.

This method is pretty trick. Quite a few users havent been able to downgrade to 2.x firmware using this method. But few have been successful. You need to try this out only if you have upgraded to v3.0 firmware. Currently this 3.0 firmware has been released to iPhone developers only. But developers who had jailbroken iPhone have bricked their iPhones due to this upgrade. I found this on bigboss:

Step 1) Shut off your iPhone and then enter DFU mode. Instructions here.

Step 2) Restore your iPhone in iTunes to v2.2.1, 2.2, or such. Remember you will need to hold shift and click restore in Windows, Option-restore in OSX. If you need to locate the firmware to download, look here. If you need help on how to restore in iTunes read this guide.

Step 3) Your restore will get an error message. It should be one of these: 1011, 1013, 1015. If you get something less than 100, you did not enter DFU mode correctly and need to retry from step #1 of this guide. If you get 160x something else went wrong. The 1011, 1013, 1015 type error codes will be a failure to write the baseband and will be expected. After this, your iPhone will remain in recovery mode. Note: on 2g iPhone you probably should not get a restore error since the 2g baseband is not updated by the 3.0 update so there is no reason for the baseband update to fail.

Sway from Illusion Labs was one of the most talked about iPhone Game on AppStore. The original Sway costs $4.99. If you dont want to invest 5 bucks in a game that you dont know if you would fall in love with, try this cool lite version for free. The game has the same controls as the paid version, but limits the user to only 3 levels and 2 characters. Isnt that enough to get a hang of this game. As I am writing this post, my iPhone is downloading the lite version. Will share with you all my experience paying Sway very soon.

Though Apple might sue Cydia anytime soon, there is going to be some competition for AppStore. Cydia Store went live last evening making it possible for jailbroken iPhones to buy apps directly from an alternative store other than AppStore. Lets wait and watch Apple’s reaction to this challenge. Infact just a while back Apple had told the U.S. Copyright Office that it believes jailbreaking an iPhone is violation of the DMCA and infringes on its copyright. Apple had informed the Copyright Office that the exception request by Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) was unacceptable as the very act of jailbreaking the iPhone results in copyright infringement.

Dashboard feature in iPhone? Can this happen? It might… Atleast on jailbroken iPhone. If this happens, I will jailbreak my iPhone :) .

What this can do to iPhone:
• Create a ‘widget’ layer for iPhone OS.
• Model it like Dashboard on OS X proper
• Load & display widget bundles
